互 - Traces of Time and Body
Marco Gallery is pleased to present "E- Traces of Time and Body," a duo exhibition by Kanji Hasegawa and Noriko Saso.This exhibition reflects on life and death, and on the notions of time and the body that inevitably accompany them.
Hasegawa translates flowers and plants into wood sculptures, revealing a temporal intersection between what withers away and what continues to remain. In contrast, Saso constructs bodily images in which life and death coexist through fictional motifs such as zombies and mythology.
Approaching from different points of departure-reality and imagination-the exhibition quietly poses questions about themes that are universal to human existence.

長谷川寛示と佐宗乃梨子による二人展「互 - Traces of Time and Body」を開催する。本展は、生と死、そしてそこに常に寄り添う時間と身体のありように目を向ける試みである。
長谷川は、花や植物を木彫へと置き換えることで、枯れゆくものと残り続けるものが交差する時間を示す。一方、佐宗はゾンビや神話といったフィクションを通して、生と死が共存する身体のイメージを立ち上げる。
現実と空想という異なる起点から、私たちにとって普遍的な命題を静かに問いかける展覧会である。
